My first day in Yosemite I decided to take an adventure and hike from the valley up to Glacier point via the Four Mile Trail. This is roughly a 3 hour hike both ways and it was vertical pretty much the entire way up. During the hike I stumbled upon many vistas overlooking the valley and Half Dome. I believe that the best way to see any location is by foot and I'm always amazed at the views you can find by accident. This was one of those magical views that you won't see by hitting the highlights of Yosemite.
