Olmsted Point is in the high country of Yosemite. It's about an hour drive from Yosemite Valley. When our tour guide said the sunset would be amazing from there I didn't realize how amazing it would be. It was a cold afternoon when we got there and the temp was falling quickly. Once we parked we had about a 15 minute hike to this location. As the sun started falling the colors exploded into the atmosphere. It is hard to explain what it is like to experience this in person but the images were almost as breathtaking as being there.
